The dirtied room was littered with the very smashed bed, its contents ripped out and stuffing covering the room. The sheets had been torn, and now lay striped into uneven piles in the corner of the room, by to door.  The girl had been sitting in the far corner of the room for a while, recovering from her fit as she slowly led her hand down from her messy, tangled hair and back to the floor. The white pants and over-sized shirt she had been given when she was administered to the hospital were stained with blood, as she had taken a spring from the bed and stabbed one of its sharp ends into her arm, the blood running out slowly and staining the floor beside her.

This had been happening for months. It had been almost a year since Streak died, but that didn't stop Rain's own mental health state. She had tried to forget, many times, but all ended in failure. She too, had tried to commit suicide, but her mother had walked in on her and she had been sent to this hell-hole. For a whole nine months, she had not talked or gave anyone much of any notice. Every few weeks or so, the orderlies would find her room a mess and her shaking, broken frame sitting in the corner.

This was, however, the first time she'd hurt herself. She relished the pain, the adrenaline gradually leaving her system and her making her come down from her high. Oh, how she missed this...she needed more, knowing the consequences but she didn't care, who gives a damn about the emotional, mentally scared emo girl anyway? Nobody in all her time here had came to visit her, not even her own flesh and blood. Fuck them all, she thought to herself, grabbing the spring she had used to puncture her arm multiple times and throwing it at the opposite wall with and angry huff.

This particular 'fit' had been produced by her own illusions and demons, as for the past few weeks she knew she had talked to, and seen Streak in her room. She looked up from her curled position in the corner of the room, only to see him yet again, sitting on the flipped over metal base for the bed. His face had the look of sadness and concern for her, but she only smirked and gave a defiant huff, leaning her head back against the wall of the room.

"So you're back again? Why don't you just stay dead and leave me the fuck alone." she spat out, looking away from him, even though she still heard his slight laugh. Rain had given up on her own mind, placing her, or what she thought was, delusions aside and believed she had already gone mad.

"You know I can't do that Raini...Look at your room, it's a pig sty if you ask me." She snarled at the mention of her nickname, glaring at the demon that had taken Streak's place in her life. She knew it wasn't the real Streak, only another illusion her mind created as part of it's own healing. Rain grabbed a nearby spring and chucked it at the demons forehead, only for him to dodge it and smile, placing his hands in the air as he stood up, walking over to her before talking again.

"Whoa there, calm down. You don't want to hurt me do you?" he prodded, making her hands cup the sides of her head as to block him out. She mumbled some incoherent swears towards the demon, just as he laughs and leans in closer.

"What was that? I didn't hear you."

"Go to hell! You're not Streak, you never will be! Just leave me alone!" she yelled at the delusion, standing up and charging at the figure only for it to disappear and for Rain to lose her balance, wobbling on her feet until she felt herself crash to her knees, looking towards the door only to see the demon standing against it.

"Why! Why can't you just leave me alone you fucking bastard!" she screamed, not bothering to pick herself off the scattered stuffing and ripped sheets, but feeling some sense of satisfaction as she felt her warm blood drip down onto the white sheets, staining them red.

"Why can't you believe I'm real, Rain. I may be dead but you know me better than anyone else! Why can't you see," he started, walking over to Rain's side before crouching down next to her, placing his hand on the side of her face.

"Why can't you see I'm still the same old Streak...I only want to help you..." He stated, leaning into Rain's face and making her breath hitch in her throat, making her lean back a bit, away from the kiss he was ready to deliver. He sensed her hesitation, pulling away from her sadly before sighing. The door to the room jiggles, and as someone steps in Streak's figure dissipates, leaving a smokey trail behind.

"Rain...at it again are we?" Annabeth, her usual nurse says sighing, before walking over to Rain only to see her arm bleeding slightly. She gasps a bit, leading Rain up and out of the room, dazed at what Rain had just seen. She turns her head back, looking back at her cell door, just as Annabeth tugs her down the white-out hall, and into a small nurses room only to bandage up Rain's arm quickly. Using swift movements Annabeth had bandaged up Rain's arm in record time, making a smile as she looked at her watch.

Rain said nothing, as she always did, only staring at the floor tiles she had grown sick of at the first two months, the corridors and hallways at the third. Annabeth sighed tiredly, knowing what it was like to loose someone to suicide. It wasn't but ten years ago, when her twin sister had decided death was far better than life, and taken her life in the bar down the street from their apartment together. Thus why, Annabeth decided being a nurse would benefit her need to help those in need of considerable convincing.

And why she had even gone into Rain's room today, was because she had a friend who came to visit. Maybe they would spark the healing Rain desperately needed to gain control of her life again. Annabeth cleared her throat, making Rain look up from her trance as she smiled towards the younger girl.

"You have a visitor today. Let's get you some clean clothes so you can see them? That sound good?"

Rain just nodded her head, the only thing she ever did to those she never really felt safe around. Annabeth helped her into new, clean, white clothes before leading Rain down the hallway. Her mind raced, who would want to see her? She had no close friends, besides the ones who were dead, and all the rest had already said their goodbyes as they finished their schooling that spring. It was mid-winter now, or so Rain was told.

Finally, Annabeth had left Rain in the semi-empty visitor's room. Rain looked around, noticing there was only the usual few mental patients here, ones who were far crazier than she was. She looked around yet again, and again, noticing nobody new or special. Until, she felt a tap on her shoulder, making her spin around to see a girl behind her.

The girl had long, fluffy black hair. Her eyes matched that of the ocean, cool and calm, almost distant in stare. Her voice hummed with a light rasp to it, and her clothes matched that of a newborn goth, stretching out of the 'scene' range but still had a little bit of color to it. Her skinny jeans were ripped and distorted, and her light leather jacket was long enough to stretch over her hands and cover her thumb.

She spoke to Rain with a light, heartfelt voice she had only ever heard a few times in her short life.

"Hi. My name is Stripe, and your Rain, right?"
...as you can see...i'm going insane...
